   KONAMIは、WBCの雰囲気を楽しめる野球ゲームソフト「実況パワフルメジャーリーグ2009」を09年4月29日より発売している。ゲーム機では、Wii、PlayStation 2に対応。価格は、5980円。

   このゲームには「'09 WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC」のモードを搭載。大会参加選手が実名で登場する。さらに、出場チームのユニフォーム、決勝戦までの試合が行われるスタジアムも再現した。球数制限やタイブレーク制など大会ルールにも対応している。ユーザーは、大会に参加する16か国と地域から1チームを選び、トーナメントで世界一を目指す。

   このモード以外にも、ユーザーがメジャーリーグ選手となって入団してから引退するまでの野球人生を疑似体験できる「メジャーライフ」モードや、マイナーリーグ選手を育成してメジャーリーグ入りを目指す「サクセス」モードなどもある。ゲームでは、選手の顔の特徴をキャラクターで再現したり、ユーザーが選手のフォームや能力を調整したりすることもできる。
